Lane United FC is excited to announce a new partnership with The Pint Pot Public House. The Pint Pot logo will be featured on the team’s 2021 and 2022 jerseys as a sleeve sponsor.
The Pint Pot is a traditional Irish pub conveniently located just three blocks from Civic Park, on the northwest corner of East 17th Ave and Pearl Street. It has been in business since 2013, the same year Lane United was founded.
The Pint Pot Co-Owner Barbie Walker described Pint Pot as having a “very European” atmosphere that focuses on soccer. “We even had Timber Jim come to the Pint Pot and do a book signing,” she recalled.
Walker has her own personal connections to the beautiful game, having both played and coached soccer throughout her lifetime: “I’ve always been connected to what soccer does because it’s not just staying fit,” she said. “It’s like a little family, but you’re part of a big thing...I’ve just had it throughout my life and here’s another way I can play a role.”
Like Lane United, Walker places high values on community-building: “I’m excited for the challenge of being a part of something—that community building that everyone looks for, that camaraderie, the excitement,” she said. “I’m excited to see where it goes and I think everyone else is excited to have a new adventure like this as well.”
Stay tuned for Lane United FC’s impending home and away jersey launches, where you can see The Pint Pot logo emblazoned on the sleeves!
