Lane United FC Men returned to Civic Park with great composure as they took down visiting Bigfoot FC in a commanding 3–0 shutout at home.
The Reds wasted no time establishing control. From the opening whistle, Lane United dictated tempo by maintaining the majority of possession and being first to every ball that kept Bigfoot FC pinned in their own half. Their efforts paid off early in the 21st minute when midfielder Bautista Rossi-Molinas, #10, opened the scoring to give LUFC a 1–0 lead.

With momentum firmly in their favor, Lane United continued pressing forward. In the 32nd minute, forward #20, Martim Sereno doubled the lead with assist from #17, Yoshiki Igarashi, his second of the night. Sereno finished with confidence after a slight defensive breakdown by Bigfoot. Just five minutes later, Sereno struck again—this time on the receiving end of a brilliant assist from Rossi-Molinas, who found him for the third goal of the match.

By halftime, the Reds had tallied 18 shots to Bigfoot’s 5 and had full control of the match. The second half was more of the same: tight defending, patient ball movement, and smart substitutions that preserved energy while maintaining pressure. Keeper Milo Risenhoover, #31, was rarely tested but came up strong when called upon, earning the clean sheet with 4 saves on the day.
The backline held firm, fouling strategically but never losing composure, and the midfield continued to dominate possession until the final whistle. With this result, Lane United not only secures an important win but also sends a message that the Reds are locked in and ready to compete in a fiercely competitive Northwest Division.

In addition to the first win of the season, fans were also treated to Head Coach and Club Cofounder, John Galas’s return to Civic Park. Galas made his first coaching appearance this season after nearly a month in Portland receiving treatment for his second battle against cancer. The return made for a wholesome and perfect night for the entire community.
